We’ve learned that our place On Marco Island survived without issue. Water came up high enough to put about an inch in the garage. Boat was secured well on the lift so it is still there. I did see on video that it was floating and it was about 7 ft above normal high tide. Power is slowly coming on around the island. We were so fortunate and our hearts go out to those that didn’t fare as well.

All is well in St. Augustine!
Thankfully we were spared any damages! Significant rain & some pretty healthy winds! We were lucky!
Nephew in Englewood lost roof to garage, & his "man-cave" patio collapsed, & roof damage to his house. Still no power or water.
Another friend in Englewood is on their way to stay with us, as they have no power or water, but minimal damage!
Thoughts and prayers go out to those that apparently have lost everything! Truly devastating to that entire area!

Here is a link to storm damage from NOAA website, Hurricane IAN Imagery

We have an RV lot in Fort Myers Beach and the park experienced major damage mostly from the storm surge. Park was 6-8’ under water so all pedestal were submerged. Any RV units left in the park (about 50) had water intrusion and are now a total lose.

Currently park has no power, water or sewer. We have made alternate plans and staying in the Tampa area for awhile. We will drive truck down 10/11 to survey the park and see if there is anything salvageable in our storage unit just outside the park. We had nothing on our site so no loss there. 😀

NWIP, glad you found another place to stay, we are on the other side of the 75 in Fort Myers, and very little flooding, mostly debris, and should have the power back on by the 9th according to FPL. We will be arriving on the 21st for the winter and looking forward to helping the local economy any way we can!
