I have some down time so I'm working off some of the things that have been bugging me.

The dash squeaks while going down the road. Figured out it was the top right corner of the glove box rubbing. I've been leaving the glove box ajar to eliminate the squeak, but I'd like to fix the problem. I cannot figure out how to adjust it. The only connection point between the glove box and the dash is the hinge at the bottom. And idea how I can adjust so that the top of the glove box is shifted a little to the left at the top? Here are some pictures.

I solved plastic on plastic rubbing noises using the fuzzy side of a velcro strip as a wedge. My plastic (a-pillar to dash) is black though.

I've already tried waxing the surface and using one of those round fuzzy bumpers. The wax solution didn't help and since the two pieces are touching each other, there's no room to put anything between the two. Leaving the glove box ajar works, but I'd like to fix the problem. My guess is that I could remove the hinge and perhaps shim it and/or move it slightly to one side, but the amount it needs to move is so small that I'm afraid the screw holes would be too close to the original ones causing its own set of issues.

Are you sure that's the source of your noise? Mine was a-pillar (vertical left/right of windshield) rubbing on the dash.

Yeah. The noise goes away when the glove box is left ajar or if I put pressure on that corner while I'm a passenger. I've opened/closed the glove box while going down the road and it definitely makes the noise go away.

Depending on whether there is a little play in the hinge, what I’d try is loosen the screws a bit, see if you can hold toward the gap side, then retighten screws.

May not work but it is what I’d try first just in case.

You might try raising that corner a little with a washer under the screw directly under it. Under the hinge that is.
