I'm pretty new to the RV game also. Like many have mentioned 300 miles/6 hrs is a pretty good rule of thumb. We have gone longer to make a scheduled event but those are the exception. I also use the 50 mph average in the coach vs 60-65 in a car and we stop about every 2-3 hrs for a break. The wife does not drive.

I am in the 5 to 7 hr category. I like to pull off at a rest stop and spend about an hr for lunch, walk the dog and relax. Then I try to be off the road about 4:00 PM to find a place for the night if traveling long distance.

My wife and I will be heading out west next year on a Caravan of the western parks. It is 2100 miles one way to the start of our caravan trip. I am planning on 5 or 6 days just to get there. I would rather 6 days, but it depends on my schedule. This will be a long camping trip with about 48 days in all.

I like 300 miles 5 hours +- but for sure I would rather not drive much after dark. Long ago much farther and longer. If I need to stretch to get to a good casino parking lot I keep going, but if I can I quit before I need headlights.
2021 Dynamax 28SS 4WD super C and now a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392. I was pulling a 2021 Bronco till I was able to get the 392.

I leave early to make sure we get to the rv park before dark, I usually like to drive about 5-6 hours a day. Our last trip I got a late start and arrived about 8 PM, took about an hour to find the rv park in the dark, thats no fun when your already tired !
