So much for grandfathering in older vehicles.

So if you are not compliant, you can’t renew it and drive it?

You can spend the $20-$30k to make it compliant or register in another state. I’d choose the latter.

I read through most of the info on the website, which was difficult because it was turning my stomach, and I’m still not sure what it means to owners of compliant vehicles. It seems we’ll have to pay a “compliance fee” (lovely euphemism) and have to start getting the coach smog checked every two years. But I just registered mine and haven’t seen any evidence of that. Yet. According to the “guidance” (another lovely euphemism) all heavy duty diesel trucks, busses, and motorhomes will be affected.

It's just another money grab by our ineffective Governor. It won't make the air cleaner and it won't improve the pot-holed filled highways and freeways around the state, it will only go into the "pot" to fund a variety of socialist and Marxist ideals. The price of living on the West Coast 😉 I've had to smog our gasser every other year for a couple years so I'm not sure how it's going to affect us. Maybe now every year (?). Darn, I may have to start taking the "Bullet Train" . Blessings

Well dang, with all the tents popping up out there, I just assumed CA was RV/Camping friendly. ;)

All depends what part of the world you come from!!!
