I'm thinking our economy is going to crack..... Won't be surprised if it does within 6 months

We can only hope there are huge lessons learned and things improve from this and in 5-10 years move much more efficiently.

Well written article and dove nicely and interestingly into the rail road and shipping challenges. Thanks.

We talk a lot about lots of issues related to supply chains that impact parts etc. here’s an interesting read on it.
Much of this wouldn't be happening if we brought more manufacturing back to the U.S.A.

Based on the article it sounds like price advantages of off shore manufacturing may not be a deal anymore.

One world... has shown a broken link.

I heard on the news today that California has restrictions on OTR tractors have to be no older than 3 years old.
( from a CA congress lady (R))
Also that the restrictions for owner operators versus major union trucking companies has also cut available trucking.
This is no great surprise that California politics has mucked up the entire process. Many drivers simply retired rather than deal with it all.
It also explains why major importers are looking for alternate ports of entry.

These shortages remind me of the ones I've seen in Russia, China, Argentina, and other countries in the world. Tells me a lot of what's happening in our country is far worse than what we think.

Get active at least let your friends know what you have seen. We are used to things going smoothly. Everyone needs to know what is happening to our country.
