I haven’t tried it but it looks like you could simply switch out the front of the pump with the front section of the old pump if the fit was too tight.

it looks like there’s plenty of room to install the pump with the addition of the brass fittings.

I just saw on another forum that the US Solar pumps no longer come with hose barbs for hose connections. They ship with pipe threads and brass adapters with hose barbs.

The concern expressed is that the additional length may be problematic for possibly the summer loop pump.

Anyone use one of the pumps that ships with the adapters?

I was planning on ordering a pump for a spare soon but don't want to have one that has limited functions due to fit.

I just installed 1 for my loop1. Has the brass fitting. Not sure if teflon tape should be used or not. The brass fitting does have a rubber gasket. Anyone know what is better, I'd appreciate to hear.
