Hi all,
We live in Michigan and just bought an “uncle Eddie” motorhome for a covid safe escape,
a 1997 Four Winds Infinity 31ft.
Exterior is very faded, and fair amount of lower interior wall water damage. Roof was sealed after the fact. Realized that we paid too much at 8K, but bones are quite good. Ford 460 with under 17,000 miles. -And new tires all around. It looks almost brand-new underneath.
Most quick remodeling to get on the road is done.
Carpet gone; vinyl plank down; repaired, primed and painted walls; temp seals on windows (plan to remove and reseal when we get down to warmer weather.)
Awning was bought from salvage by PO, and as I understand it, does not fit the ‘slot’ on the side so it pulls away when deployment is attempted. Will be looking for new awnings, as we can only tolerate a moderate amount of butt ugly.
Both holding tanks are half full and no doubt frozen.
Plan add a few gallons of RV antifreeze (maybe some urea ice melt pellets?)to ‘soften’ for transport south where we can dump. Hoping to prevent iceberg damage during driving...
It will be interesting and fun.
We have owned RVs in the past, so not entirely novice.
Any thoughts, ideas or warnings on the holding tanks much appreciated!
