Hi all. Our last trip of the year was a little more local. We spent 4 days of hiking and relaxing on silver star mountain in their campground in the parking area. We had a great time. This is essentially a ski mountain parking lot camping experience with partitioned sites and some with 30 amp power. Basic pit toilets in the camping area and full showers available about 100 metres away in the ski village. I think it was around 30 a night for a basic site. They have two complimentary electric vehicle chargers right at the pit toilets and two more by the hotel.

Most of the campers are mountain bikers and the rest are hikers like us. You can get a lift ticket for the gondola so you don’t have to hike to the summit. From there there are dozens of trails to take back to the ski village. This is black bear territory so be prepared.

The village has a number of restaurants, good music and just a fun place to be including at night.

The real estate is also fun to look at.

Overall it was a great few days. We have since winterized our little trailer and look forward to de-winterizing next spring for another cross country trek.

Here are a few pics of our stay.
