Hey, I miss the old school stock car racing back when the cars were real, but I'm a dinosaur. That said, I do think it is rather smart for Newmar to support these racers and their fans. When it comes to diesel pusher motorhomes it isn't like anybody can grow the total addressable market (aka the TAM). It is a red ocean battle where you have to take customers away from an already established set of competitors. Seeing Prevost-based coaches in the infield is interesting, but out of reach of most RVers interested in motorhomes. Seeing a sea of Newmars in the infield has impact.
This is a highly visible segment that influences both men and women on their brand biases and purchasing decisions. If you don't believe me, just ask the likes of companies and products like Tide, Busch Light, e.l.f Cosmetics, Ally Financial, Victoria's Secret and Coach, AdventHealth, and PNC Bank to name a few. Women represent roughly 41% of the fanbase. Betting on Nascar influences both men and women and promotes the brand far beyond the drivers and their teams. it impacts their fans both in the stadiums and at home watching on TV.
