Hi guys (& gals), I'm a total newbie here, this is my first post!
Don't have an RV per se, have a houseboat on a nice lake here in GA, but basically it's just a camper on the water.
Had 4 Lifeline 220Ah AGM batteries in my inverter system (a Magnum MS2812 purchased new in 2010), batts were due for a replacement this year (6 yrs old), decided to try Lithium. I know the the Magnum MS2812 is not designed for lithium batteries, but I've done a good bit of research on this & other RV forums, and see that there are numerous people with the same system that are successfully using it with LiFePO4 batteries by using the CUSTOM setup on the Magnum & setting parameters appropriate for the batteries, so... I'm gonna give it a try.
So just bought two new Vatrer LM12300 batteries (12v 300Ah ea), would like to have a good TESTER that properly reads lithium batteries (also have another 12v 125Ah lithium batt (an X2 brand) that I use for stereo system on the boat, this summer will be it's 3rd year in service, has served me well so far).
Found a tester I thought would be great, an Acclope BT90 Pro (specs HERE), but uopn initial test on these 2 new Vatrers it says "REPLACE" on both of them, shows 0% SoH (State of Health, right?) on one, and 5% SoH on the other one. It does show a very low RESISTANCE number on both batteries that seems great I think?... (a little less than 10 milli-ohms), so, I am confident the batteries are good (as I said - brand new), just don't like that little tester showing "REPLACE" for the SoH. :-\
Anyone have any experience with testers that work well and give expected realistic results on LiFePO4 batteries?
Thanks in advance!!
