Many have posted about the mod to be able to access the driver side window if locked out or the fob doesn’t unlock the door. My window lock does not disengage (lever) easily and the window does not slide that easily either so what exactly is this mod? I got locked out of my LE once and I’d like to avoid that again if possible.

I think that mod is only for electrically operated driver's side windows. Ours is lever locked, the only "mod" I do is not lock it as I'm fearful of the entry door lock not working someday. I only lock it when needed.

Yes, the "window mod" is for electrically-operated windows. It is simply the addition of a parallel window switch located in an exxternally accessible space. We had Newmar install one while we were there in June. It is in an easily accessible exterior space, but well-enough hidden that it is not obvious. If you don't know where it is, you would have a hard time finding it visually.
