New Li capable inverter installed and have the new 460ah Lithium coming in on Tuesday. (cutting down on the bank capacity from the 8 flooded 6v) Specs from the manufacturer have charge voltage at 14.2, float at 13.6 and max charge at 200a. I believe I first have to set the bank size and then go to charger setup. Has anyone gone through the programing that could educate me with non electrical engineer terminology? I believe I have a slight handle on it, but just wanted to ask for some guidance as to what to watch out for. Thanks!

Your max charge rate should not exceed your GEN breaker capacity.

your battery should have a recommended rate about 2c. I am guessing 90 amps. Jim, do you have the ARC-50? do you still have a Magnum system should be the first question.

Recommended charge current per specs is 50a but that sounded too low to me for a max of 200a. I have a new Magnum 2812 -L-U which is Lithium capable. I also have the ARC panel with Magnum BMK reading SOC.

That will put you at approximately a five hour charge from stone cold dead. I would think somewhere between 80 and 100 would be fine. Some on here say don't do it, but I charge my two 206 ah to 100% and let them cycle down to near dead. I have the final stage in the ARC set to silent. Based on your other settings, this runs the charge up to 100% and then all the 12v use drains them down to around 8-10% before the charger turns back on. The only issue is you need to check your battery charge the day before you start rolling. You could be starting off with a almost dead battery. If needed change the final stage to float. That should engage the charger and you will be full up when you roll out.

Is it possible to set it up to draw the battery down to like 40% then kick the charge in? What would be the settings for that and is that a viable option? I'm using the "Custom" settings on the panel. BTW This is the battery I'm using.
