Problem Mouse in the coach

We had a mouse the beginning of our trip. DW bought a dozen spring loaded traps and I had to bait them with peanut butter. For few days the mouse ate the butter, but did not trigger the springs? One morning I heard the snap from under the kitchen sink. Lots of blood, but no mouse?
DW bought few electronic battery operated mouse traps. That did it. We had one electrocuted mouse.

I have had limited success with ultrasound devices. The best thing that has worked for me is old fashioned snap traps….

When not using the coach, I put cotton bals in the mesh tea balls and a generous dose of peppermint oil. I place these everywhere, including every compartment. I also place 6-10 Fresh cab packs throughout. When closed up it would almost choke a human, much less a tiny critter. Btw, I hang them in the engine compartment as well. The oil must be refreshed regularly.

I have three electronic gizmos, one inthe electric bay, one in the bedroo, and one next to the passenger seat. Bounce dryer sheets also scattered about. Attached to my tire covers are plastic bottles with lots of holes. The are on the side from which the wind mos frequently blows. They have mothballs in them. I call it comprehensive coverage.

When storing long term, I also hang a few peppermint things under the coach - one on front axle and one at the back.

Spead around the house, I also have the little Tomcat containers - poison.

With the peanut butter, this occurred with me too at first. The key to the old snap traps with peanut butter is to use cotton string and tie it to the lever/plate activating the trap and the apply the peanut butter. The peanut butter seeps into the string. Works well because they tug on it.

That's how I finally caught the rat. I've since moved to Tomcat traps. Much easier to load and use. I keep one in the electrical bin while in storage.

I'm likely overdoing it with one in the water bay, electric cord bay, and two others in the basement. Maybe overkill lol

After the incident with the rat, I've become a bit overcausis so I also have an electronic trap in the coach and a couple poison trays in the bins. I also made a better seal system adapting one of Irma's tennis balls for the electric cord.

Hey that's a great idea!!! My seals are giving out and was thinking of using a sponge. Like how the tennis ball wraps around the sides and back! Good deal! Thanks

That looked large for a mouse Bwk, I had a black rat get into mine last year and he would not be caught by a trap. Same with squirrels. Finally got him with 2 kinds of poison.

looked like a rat to me also.
