Did he leave to die or did he end up dead in the coach?
I never have found a dead in an attic or car.
What started, find the bodies in my gold fish pond and dear water tub.

I was wondering how tight todays coaches are and whether rodents would be a problem. I’m out in the country and mice and rats are a constant issue for us. I’ll have to be extra vigilant watching for sign that they are active on the DS. Way too many wires to feast on on this rig!! I have had mice disable a vehicle or two over the years. On just chewed a hole in the windshield washer plumbing on my wife’s Rover that kept draining the reservoir.

My best guess in this instance is he got in following the electric line into the bay because there was some plastic chewed up in there.

The best mouse trap I have found is the 5 gallon bucket trap. It consistently works IF you set it up right. The mouse MUST have a ramp up to the top of the bucket. If you think you have rats or squirrels, then you need to use a trash can, again the ramp MUST be set up. This is great for multiple mice. And if you have one mouse, then you likely have more than one as mice pop out babies at an alarming rate. During freezing temps or long periods of storage, use pink anti freeze to drown the pests. BTW, you can also buy a premade lid to put on a 5 gallon bucket from Amazon.

I usually use bait, but try to bait outside the living area. Bays, storage areas, on ground next to RV in storage. Glue traps inside for any that avoided the bait. I would rather not attract them into the living area if at all possible. Previous coach I did find a dead one in a drawer many days too late to avoid the smell though, they dont always get out to die.

I use the old style traps with cotton string tied to where the bait is placed. Then use peanut butter where some of peanut butter is absorbed by the string. Never had a trap set up this way get cleaned up w/o setting it off.

Well, I have come to the conclusion that it is a rat. It has avoided all glue traps and spring traps. I can't imagine what it's eating as there are no food products on the coach. I just emptied all the bins yesterday and today I'm starting with RatX poison inside and out that's supposed to kill while eliminating the smell by dehydration. I hope this works as it's starting consume my waking thoughts to the point of exhaustion.

Tonight I have 3 different types of poison, 3 Tom Cat rat traps, 3 glue traps, and one Victor old fashioned rat trap. The Victor has been there for 3 nights now and I guess he got used to it. I turned on the camera just in time to see him dance around it trying to figure it out. Then.... SNAP!! It was better than watching an MMA fight. 1 Rat gone to see his ancestors. I'm leaving the bait out to make sure there are no more. Hoping not as this is the only one I've seen on camera. Maybe I can get some sleep tonight!
