It appears that lately all this high tech safety devises and emission equipment are becoming a real Hazard to the owner/operator.
The TAKATA airbags have been killing people for years, and yet they are still installed in vehicles. My mother in law has a 2005 Camry that Toyota has promised for years to replace the faulty airbags as soon as the are available. It's been over five years, still waiting.
Now Diesel vehicles equipped with DEF systems randomly stranding operators at the side of the road. Same promise, when we (Dealer/OEM) get them, you can then fix the OEM defective parts with more defective parts.
Regarding Airbags, now you don't even have to have an accident for the Airbag to injure or kill you. The Airbags just randomly explode.
Have a great weekend
