They are insane. I am all in for $2!

Good luck Newmar.
Hey, at least the 3rd Lithionics battery has gone from $14K down to $9.9K... :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, that is so not SilverLeaf. A nicely laid out UX? So jealous already...

Given this all runs on RV-C (similar to CAN-bus) one "should" be able to mix/match components on the network given every module has to comply with the published standards for that type of device (i.e. shades, ACs, tank sensors, etc.). I would think we could leave what we wanted to with existing SilverLeaf modules and swap out what we wanted to with the new private labeled ATC modules. An upgraded new main control panel and mobile phone app experience would be ideal...

Newmar!!! Hello? You listening?

Best,
-Mark

You're thinking Mr. PotatoHead of the RV world?

He put "Luxury" in the name, I'm moving my MSRP prediction to north of 300K.

Pure speculation: Given it is on the new 4500 chassis, which allows for 1,073 lbs more carrying capacity than the 3500HD chassis, and that the CCC in this new offering is still rather low (750-800) and in the neighborhood of those built on the lower capacity 3500HD in prior years by other manufacturers, it suggests this new offering may be built ground up by Newmar using their construction materials and techniques vs. simply a rebadging and paint spray of previous Winnebago Sprinter-based class C's. I'd expect a Navion, for example, to have its CCC jump up to almost 2K if put on the new chassis. If anybody happens to get one, the perfect TOAD is an older manual transmission Fiat 500 given how small and light it is.

Makes more sense as I would guess it's being built in Nappanee at the Newmar factory. So something they're doing ground up seems logical. I just want to see pictures of it parked in my Casey's spot at Camp Newmar with him living in it :) That King Aire or whatever he's in now must get boring.

He lost me when he said the Newmar owners are aging out and want smaller units. How dare he, aging out!

@MarkMaxPayne ... What about a 2-door Jeep Wrangler?

FLSteve
Just playing with numbers. I'm a victim of "new math" in the 4th grade so be gentle...

A 2013 Fiat 500 weighs in at only 2,477 lbs. while a 2013 2-door Jeep Wrangler comes in between 3760 and 4,104 lbs. depending on trim level if I trust the internet (new ones are between 3,948 and 4,222 lbs.). The GVWR of a Sprinter-based RV on the older 3500HD chassis is only 11,030 lbs. which leaves 4,220 lbs. for everything it pulls behind it since the GCWR is 15,250. This includes vehicle, tow bar, base plate, tow vehicle's contents, etc. Leave the floor mats at home with the older 3500HD Sprinter chassis? :)

If the new Sprinter 4500 chassis has the GCWR still at 15,250, but its GVWR, fully loaded (and you know Sprinter-based RVs are always fully loaded <grin>) is 12,125 lbs, that leaves only 3,125 for towing. Leave the doors, hood, detachable roof, floor mats, spare tire, and fuzzy dice at home?

I guess the jest of my first remark was the new 4500 chassis tows less than the previous chassis and even then the Fiat was about all the 3500HD with a higher tow capacity could legally handle...

And yes, I'm ignoring published tow capacities as that is a misnomer when you have to look at the total gross combined vehicle weight rating and sprinter-based RVs are always maxed out in their own weight.

Best,
-Mark

Well I think my 2024 Wrangler is about 4,375 lbs ... so this might not work for me. Will have to wait till they publish more information.

One barometer used for years when I owned a Newmar was did they sell out the entire production run to dealers? For years they did without a blip.
Did anybody find out it they sold out this year? @sheridany @Neal
