Saw on Facebook - Newmar announces a new compact Class C named the "Freedom Aire". Not sure their fixation on "Aire" for names.![]()
$285 (-30%=199,500)Okay, let's guess the MSRP on the new "compact C"
250K
Because we’re a bunch of “AireHeads”!!Saw on Facebook - Newmar announces a new compact Class C named the "Freedom Aire". Not sure their fixation on "Aire" for names.
About a decade late to the Sprinter-based Class C party, no? My first rig was a Tiffin Wayfarer. My photo album just reminded me yesterday of my 450+ build photos from March 2016 when I spent 3 days on the Winfield, AL production line following my rig through each build station. That said, they do seem to hold their resale value. Some used even sold more than new... Better late than never I suppose?Saw on Facebook - Newmar announces a new compact Class C named the "Freedom Aire". Not sure their fixation on "Aire" for names.![]()
Guessing the comments on Facebook of the same may get removed. I'm seeing the trend starting with the same sentiment. Sounds like someone didn't do their homework.I wish they would pick a lane. Seeing that Mercedes chassis makes me cringe. I have one, and am not a fan. At all.
The margins must be huge and the demand still seems high. Demand for these Class C's still look higher than for other rigs. When I bought mine back in 2018 for only $124K the sticker on the chassis as it rolled down the assembly line was like $36K. Then during the pandemic the same rigs were going used for $184K. Crazy times for sure. But 10 years late to the party? I'm scratching my head...
I tend to agree. However, it is truly a gateway drug for those going from smaller rigs to larger Class A's. As well as for seniors who still want to RV, but would rather downgrade from a large bus to something they can drive and park much easier and just about anywhere. Until now Newmar had ignored that high demand segment in the market. I just question if that ship already left the dock for Newmar years ago... I'd also be curious if it is actually Newmar built vs. a rebadged/branded/full-body-painted Winnebago product from some other existing line. If the latter is the case, build materials, construction, and quality may not be up to Newmar's standards or Newmar owner expectations and I'm totally 100% in your lane @Neemer... What sold me on the Tiffin Wayfarer at the time was having Winnebago Sprinter-based Class C's sitting next to the Wafarer on the dealer's lot--night and day build & quality differences...I wish they would pick a lane. Seeing that Mercedes chassis makes me cringe. I have one, and am not a fan. At all.
I'll ante up and bet $1 they didn't and go farther betting they didn't sell half, okay, maybe half, but I'm all in for $1.Any confirmation if they sold out the 2026 production?
