Mine is a 16 and does the same thing. I'll check with Freightliner to see if it's covered.
 
Both of mine needed replacing and got replaced this past May at annual service. I wish they would replace the rim that is damaged from it, just an eye sore but so be it. Glad this finally made it to recall. Mine were on the brink of failure. I changed to a non flow thru TPMS to reduce the weight on the stem.

I changed my sensors to non flow though for that reason also.
