My hot water (red) feed to my kitchen sink will not stop leaking. I've hand-tightened (recommended) it several times, even wrapped the metal (male) connector with "one" wrap of Teflon tape, but it continues to leak. Should (or could) I change out the female plastic fitting for a metal fitting? Would that resolve the problem? Maybe I can't use a metal fitting with the PEX water lines, can I? Any suggestions or thoughts will be appreciated. Really tired of dealing with this leak! - Thanks, Gary

Pex connections typically don't require plumbers tape, putty, etc. Is there a crack in the line or is the leak coming from the connection?
