Hi folks, we bought a Jayco popup camper at an online auction (sight unseen).
The photos show a rear door but no matter how hard we search we cannot find a single reference or image of a camper with a rear door.

Anyone know anything about this camper?
Was it a one-off design that didn't sell?
Maybe if the beds slide out sideways (because obviuously yhey cannot slide out through the door) it tipped over or something?
Thanks.

Never saw one like that before. It would seem that width when open would be more of an issue. At some of the tight state type or rustic camp grounds, width can matter. If both sides open up it would be (GUESSING) 16 - 18 feet wide? That might make some places with trees tough to fit.

Axel is broken so the wheel is not in the correct place. It has been twisted sideways
You can probably put a new axle under it without breaking the bank.

My guess is the bed(1) slide/wing is over the hitch.
The other guess is the wings come out to the sides.

The wheel you see is much larger than what is used on a pop-up, a result of a lazy photographer.
This is a very basic trailer, no utilities just a place to get out of the weather, and sleep.

Might even be something like this

Does look like the axel is sideways since the taillights are on that section where it looks like a door on that end.

We could... but the reason we bought it is to do this to it: (not the actual camper, just a quick photoshop mockup with my truck.
We bought it to turn into a bathroom/laundry. And will be towing a small caravan for sleeping/kitchen/dining.
Our thinking is while travelling the popup will be down and low enough to fit our trestles and planks on the truck's roof racks (travelling for work... fitting siding).

That was my guess too. We have to drive seven hours to get it, chop off remaining wheel structure and mount it onto the truck. Won it for only ten bucks so whatever needs doing to make it work is all good in my eyes.

I just wish I could find the specs on it somewhere to work out how best to fit it before we leave.

Spoke to an older Jayco salesman who just told me that back in the 80's Jayco were making a lot of customs for folks.
As a result there won't be any specs available anywhere.
...Looks like I'm off for a road-trip in the hope it will fit my truck bed. Hopefully the cladding company I work for has some jobs in that area to pay for the fuel.
