Never had issues with our setup…

Three stage filter (5 micron sediment, carbon block, anti viral / microbial) followed by the water softener, then whole house filter.

Sanitized once a year and the filters were good for about 2k gallons.

Used water for drinking, ice, etc for the 4 years we full timed and various water sources - no problems.
What exactly did the whole house filter do to improve things after going thru that system? The water was worn out by that time.....lol. I have a Clearsource system but have not used it. I also do not drink the water and probably sanitize more then most.

What is most concerning in public water supplies today is what's not being tested for.

The least expensive method for safe water consists of ozone bubbling followed by carbon block filtering.

It is easily scaled up for whole house use. And produces water of a quality unmatched by any other current filtering methods in use today.
I would have to tow another trailer to ozone bubble, prefilter, filter, carbon block, reverse osmose it, and then uv radiate it. For gods sake just buy a bottle of water. Get the Poland Springs from Western Maine, probably loaded with Radon but something is going to kill you someday.
