Have had an issue with Patriot brand AA batteries not charging via the USA port in my Bullet Ultralite, but the AAA ones work just fine when attached to their 4 battery charging leash.

Looking to buy a bunch of AA size that will actually work in a 4 battery charger station. I have ones I got over the years that are OK, but figure it's better to get a new batch, and what works on a 26 ft Bullet electrical system when hooked to a minimum 30 amp hookup, or boondocking with generator or truck still plugged / hitched up.

ANYBODY got recommendations ?

My guess is that your usb outlets are 5v 1.2amp. This is the standard outlet Newmar uses as well.

It’s not adequate for high loads, as it’s only 6 watts of power.

Most devices require much more. I would find a good 120v adapter that uses GaN tech and provides at least 65w of power with PD

For specific needs, we would need to know the spec of the charger.

What outlet in the trailer would supply that ? I have "household " receptacles that one part uses solar power, the other half uses the inverter power. The particular charger I use is plugged into the bathroom outlet, and it does just fine with my older recharge batteries. If I found the particular adaptor you spoke of, what would I plug it into, the wall receptacles ?

I assumed (incorrectly) you were using DC voltage via usb directly from the outlet.

If your charger is 120v ac then it doesn’t matter what outlet you use as they all supply the same voltage.

Can you give some details about your charger? Once we know that we can give proper guidance.

Charger is a Bonai, output is 1.2 volt, input 100-240V AC 50/60 Hz

The Patriot batteries are plugged into the wall usb ports, don't charge at all. the instructions with them say I can put them into a regular charger ( see above ) but that doesn't work either. They do charge when plugged into a house outlet in my home with a USB adaptor, but for 12 batteries it just doesn't cut it, and I'm looking for full time RVing recharging options.

I think that’s where I am confused. You mention a wall usb port and then a charger…can you clarify?

Are the batteries using the charger or are they using usb?

Is this the charger you have?

Are these the batteries?

Those batteries won’t fit your charger will they? It appears they need to be charged via usb directly.

If that’s the case, then the issue is the usb power is not enough.

I would focus on batteries that fit your charger.

Is that what your thinking?

Yep, that's the charger. I was wondering if you could recommend a USB charger that would work in our Keystone trailer... I can always get more AA batteries that work in the Bonai, but already have 12 Patriots that either I get a charger that works, or get rid of them.

This will do 12 watts on ports 1&2 of the USBA and 18 watts on port 3

It also will charge phones and laptops on usb c

Looks good, but what outlet in the trailer would I need to use ? Is this charger going to work plugged in on the inverter powered receptacles ?

Any 120v ac power. As long as the inverter has enough watts then you would be fine.

The breaker for the circuit should be sized less than the inverter, so any 120v ac 15 amp outlet will be fine.

If you have 120v outlets less than 5 amps, avoid those.
