I have a 2013 DS we bought in 2019. It looks like it might be time to replace the house batteries. A quick look at GC2 batteries run close to $200.00 each. I'm not a fan of Interstate but I've had good luck with using Batteries Plus and Duracell, so I'm leaning that way. We very seldom boondock it's almost all pole to pole so doing flooded most likely.

What is the process for replacing all 8 batteries?

Thank You in Advance

Label and take lots of pictures!
Please consider AGM's as they are maintenance free.
Member of Sam's club? Duracell batteries and good prices. (Plan on $20 core charge until you return old batteries)
Costco sells Interstate batteries, and, like you, I'm not a fan and they are not cheap!

Check the manual for your inverter/charger. I believe the Magnum units say to remove the positive lead FIRST. Seems backwards to all the battery changes I ever have done on autos but apparently there is a risk of damage to other components due to lack of ground at the inverter if the negative is removed first.

Does anyone know what the approximate weight of each battery?

The weight will likely vary with the battery rating but I believe Lead Acid or AGM will be in the 65 lbs each range plus or minus maybe 5 lbs.
