Hi Guys,

newbie here. My father-in-law has offered me an old Terry Taurus 18ft Camper for free. The camper needs work as you can see from the pictures. My main concern is the rust on the frame. I did not get a chance to take pictures of the underside, but I will when I get a chance.

Is anyone out there able to advise on the rust? will it be worth restoring if the rust is real bad? any advice or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

OOOhhhhhh, man, you are taking on a project. From what I see there is significant water damage inside the trailer. You will find that the rot will extend a lot farther than you first think. I got a 10' pick-up camper once that had what seemed like a small amount of water damage in one corner in the front. Long story short, I had to rebuild the whole front and part of the side. What I figured would be a month job at the most took most all summer (work got in the way). I'm sure that trailer can be rebuilt, but double or even triple the amount of time you expect it to take. Far as the frame, the pictures show nothing to worry about in my opinion, but you need to make that determination.
