We have a 2015 190 Popular and it seems there is a soft spot in the roof near the fantastic fan. Has anybody experienced this or have an idea of how to fix it?

Depending on how far the roof structure has rotted. You might get away with a partial roof repair. But if it was me, I’d plan on a complete reroof.

Watching many of the various you tube videos of rv repair guys fixing rv roofs your in for some expensive repairs. Somewhere along the way water has entered the roof structure and rotted the supports or actual decking wood. The actual roofing cover has to be removed and then correcting the wood issue. Not something I would suggest a do it yourself job, but hiring a professional who has done it before is in your future.

So my understanding is this is a fiberglass molded topper right?

So any reinforcement would need to be added from inside the van.

You may pull the fan and see if water has caused the damage! You can slip short stripes of wood in through the hole as reinforcement. Longer pieces if you want to try laminations. If you don't find rot I would guess it is as built!!!
