On the Xantrax 2000, you have to manually set it for 20A, when using that. So you may want to check your settings. It switches between 50 and 30A automatically, but not 20A. Not sure if yours is the same.
 
It's a Xantrex 3012 but I will research this option.
Can’t believe Newmar stooped to use Xantrex. What has happened to the world??? Xantrex was once a great product when made in Canada but since outsourcing to china….well ya know.
