RV Resort Activities

Hello Everyone!

I recently took a position as Activity Coordinator for a RV Resort in TX. Just curious what activities y'all look forward to when staying at a RV Resort. Thanks in advance for your info. Greatly appreciated.

I always question when a park calls itself a resort. What makes the park you're working at a resort?
Unless we are staying in a park for a month or longer, I don't think we would care about game night or dance lessons, etc. Other than maybe the pool or hot tub, we rarely use any of the park facilities. That is us, others may have differing opinions.

Since I'm in Texas, what is the name and location of your resort?

On second thought, one resort we stayed at had free ebikes to use, we rode the hell out of those! I hear pickle ball is all the rage.

We rarely use any of a park's facilities (other than power, water and sewer) since we travel to see the sights and sounds of the country. We are more interested in easy access, larger sites and peace and quiet.

Group eating events, meals, ice cream socials, etc., Sunday church service.

I like organized excursions to nearby locations, like hikes or bike rides.

Here are a few of the activities offered at our Motorcoach Resort. We are in Florida so these events are primary during the high season.
Rock Painting
Game night (card games, domino's, etc. what ever the group(s) want to play)
Water Aerobics multi times per week
Pickleball
Pickleball Ladder
Cosmic Pickleball
Music Bingo (Special Event)
Oldiewed Game (Special Event)
Family Feud (Groups form teams to compete) (Special Event)
Yoga twice a week
Monthly breakfast potluck (The resort activity calendar is handed out and any special events for the upcoming month are announced)
Weekly Meet & Greet w beverages and snacks (Weekly)
Sewing Group meet weekly and work on some common project the group has decided on)
Book Club a book is selected for reading and the club meets monthly to discuss.
Valentines Day women's luncheon & fashion show
Welcome back party (themed event at the beginning of the season, this year was a cruise theme)
End of season Pool party. Last year theme was cheeseburgers in paradise with live entertainment and of course cheeseburgers for all.
Street games, one night a week, Corn hole, ladder ball, Jenga etc.
Dueling Piano Dinner Show (brought entertainment in from outside, & catered dinner), sold tickets to help offset the cost the event.
Weekly golf outings
Blood Drive
At least on event per year the focuses on a support for a local charity.
