I hate hearing my water pump, especially when it's loud and obnoxious. It was suggested early on to replace the pump that came in the coach, that was probably a mistake but I did and have been on a mission since to find the perfect water pump. I've tried rubber pads, noise dampening, etc. Pumps either later came out with vibration dampening grommets or I just didn't come across the right pump until my latest over a year ago which is the REMCO 55-AQUAJET-ARV 5 GPM water pump to replace my 3.4 GPM and also try an accumulator tank. @NWIP had the great advice of not over tightening the mounting bolts and voila, I have a silent and wonderful water pump. The simple things, but it makes such a huge difference as I'm one that prefers keeping the pump on all of the time as it will only come on when needed if city water is pushing enough pressure. But this video was on my YouTube feed last night, I watched part of it, but it may be of interest to others as no one should be hearing the water pump if done right.

I am conflicted on this issue. On one hand I want quite, on the other, the noise is a form of security. The greatest distruction in an RV is water damage, so irregular pump behavior I want to have a signal.

Before I walk out the door I pull my drinking water from it's tap and the system reminds me to hit the switch before I leave it unattended.

Medium is good, quite is conserning, loud is obnoxious. Thank you @Neal for this great video.

I have that same pump with and accumulator and it is a great pump. Recently bought a spare to keep on board just in case.

@Kevin D Pem , I'm of the same school. I had a small leak, and the pump would cycle every couple of hours or so. I started investigating and found a leak at one of the screw-on fittings.

Our pump makes just enough noise that I can listen for it cycling, but not enough noise to be bothersome.
Agree with Kevin and Jim that being able to monitor can save $ in damages.

I added a second pump, with a single accumulator. Now the only time it ramps up to full is when shower, kitchen sink, and one more sink turn on, then both pumps run wide open .

This greatly reduced the noise while giving me constant high pressure
