I don't know about the new coaches but mine you put out the slides before you level the coach and that per Newmar. Here is the letter that I got.

Please note two very important things in the Newmar letter above:

1) In point 1, it says "Park the coach in a reasonably level campsite," and

2) In point 4, it says "Look at the "reveal" or "gap" of the two vertical wall trims around the slideout..."

If either of these steps cannot be met, you should either move the coach to a more level site (preferred) or level the coach first and then re-check the "reveals" or "gaps." If leveling the coach first does not correct the reveal/gap misalignment, it is time to relocate the coach and start over.
