Safety chains for towing

I have a Roadmaster tow bar that has channels on each side where straight cables run through the channels. Very clean, easy to store the cables and no chance of dragging.
Thanks. I have a Blue Ox tow bar. I suppose I could zip tie…or just get another coiled.
 
I was looking for those all day yesterday and couldn’t find them anywhere. E trailer didn’t have them, blue ox didn’t…. If you have a link where they can be found, please let me know. 😊🙏🏼

Maybe a couple of pieces of 3/4” pvc zip tied to the tow bar?
 
I wanted to make sure they were stronger than I really needed. Found these on Amazon. Several You Tube Vids

In my opinion you would be better off buying from a known supplier Highland Quick-Link Chain Hook-Up, 10,000 lbs., 1/2"

Or if you must Walmart has CURT 82932 Threaded Quick Links. Search the Walmart website for them. threaded link.jpg
 
I need new cables and am looking at the straight vs coiled versions. Question for youse guys who have the straight ones: Do you attach those to the tow bar in some way to prevent them from dragging? It seems they would tend to do that.
I cross them and go one wrap around the tow bar.
 
The "connector pictured" is called I think a D-Ring threaded, there are other names. The come in weight ratings. And think you can get them up to 5,000 lbs. However, the tow bar you got from assumed Blue Ox, should be rated up to towing capacity of the hitch of 10K if Newmar has not changed. That should come with tow cables large enough to go over that bracket end on the MH side. If not, you need bigger ones, so they do. I don't personally recommend the clevis or any other "ring type" of connector to handle that chore. I have to attach mine sideways so I can get the hook over mine all the way. FWIW-I have the thing you show in my RTV and use it for winch stuff, when pulling trees or stumps out of the ground. I use snatch block and sometimes a pully to give me more pulling power, with less stress on the winch. I did run a 40,000lb overhead crane and lifted electrical equipment to drain out the oil in them. We had Current Transformers which were 40' long and came in close to 10-12,000 lbs., I double rigged them top and bottom, and since two hooks could flip the CT end over end to get all the oil out. I do always over rig, things because don't want an issue with something failing when bad conditions are present. I can attest to the strength of blue ox, as lady lost tire in Phoenix, AZ, slammed into side of previous MH and bounced into a jeep wrangler toad, it was on two wheels for second or two, before righting itself, and we coasted safely to the side of the road awaiting the police and a flat tow.
 
I noticed a few months ago that various listings for Quick Links always quoted the weight rating at twice the actual amount. They based that on the fact that you should/would be using two safety cables.
