I started extending the passenger slide and didn't notice immediately, the front of the slide was moving out but the rear wasn't moving. The front is out about a foot and the rear is still flush with the body. Any advice is appreciated.

Are there two motors on this slide? It sounds like one may be burned out. There are also controllers, and of course electrical to research. First stop should be call Newmar of course but we all know how that can work out. Second option is a RV mobile tech, these folks really seem to be good at these things surprisingly. I assume this is your kitchen slide?

I believe the controller is in the rear of the bay on the chassis rail just forward of the pegboard bay.

Speaking of slides. Friend has exact same model as we do, he found the bolts on the bedroom slide were a little lose, the took a 1/2 to full turn on them to tighten. Supposedly, NM started putting thread locker on the slide bolts so they would not loosen, I will check mine next time we are camping, and still not sure what I'm looking for.

This is a well-known problem with Newmar slides. The motor mounting bolts need to be checked at least annually. I, personally, pulled every bolt on the slide motors and applied Loctite blue to each one, then re-installed and torqued them.

I checked mine last summer and the bedroom slide motor was the only one that was a little loose and mine supposedly had the loctite. Everyone should learn where theirs are and inspect them at least annually. I'm going with annually personally. The bedroom motor is below the false floor beneath the bed so you'll have to remove those plywood planks.

I am just guessing,
The kitchen slide has a single motor running two wheels with short pins on them moving the two slotted rails attached to the slide. There is a long 2 part shaft connecting them to the motor. If the Shaft joint has slipped, only one of the wheels is moving the slide.
The other option is that one of the wheels failed or slipped out of the rail?
Loose motor will not cause one side not to move.
Someone has to look under the slide and see what is going on
