We have a forest river 366fl fifth wheel that I found was leaking in the slides up near our fifth wheel. This is a living room in ourmodel. It did damage on one side bad enough to make the floor soft. Is there a way to fix this myself. The slide is powered by the 4 individual motors with the aluminum track...I forget the name. Thanks for any help.

@doug72 I'm sort of in the same boat. And, I'm determined to fix it myself! Did you find the source of the leak yet? Fixing the floor seems to be similar to fixing a subfloor in a residential home with a few differences. There's a good YouTube video entitled "How to Repair a Rotten Trailer Floor" by matmroy. Hope this video helps you!

I didn't find the leak but believe it's near the bottom somewhere. From what I can see for my type of slide I'll have to take the whole slide out. I looked at every video but haven't seen any for my type of slide. This type from what I've read I just unhook the motors and tracks and push the slide out...I have a backhoe with forks on it.

@doug72, you have a Schwintek type of slide out. Lippert Components, Inc. makes them. I heard they have great customer service so maybe they can answer any questions you have. In the meantime, check out these YouTube videos:
(A Lippert training video that discusses removing your type of Schwintek slide out.)
(A video that discusses the Schwintek track system in detail.)
( A video in which there is some demonstration on moving the Schwintek though it is not removed completely.)
(A non-Schwintek slide out video showing use of a jack and homemade mounting frame to get the slide out moved out of the way temporarily for repair of water damaged floor.)
(A non-Schwintek slide out video showing a homemade platform the slide out rests on when removed.)

Anyway, I hope these videos help! Please let me know how your project goes!!
