If you search on YouTube, a father asked his son how to stop some of the violence and disruptive behavior going on across the country. His son's reply was excellent, and I will not try to remember his exact words as he said it better than I. Regardless if you like him or not, Bill O'Reilly had a segment on this same subject, and his commentary was also spot on. The end result is parents are enamored by their phone, and do not have conversations or even talk to kids, and they too are buried in their phones. Years ago, in a SciFi book series I read, the principal character, "at that time was not a mother:" said when asked, what is the best way to learn, "it is not watching a screen, or interacting with a TV monitor", kids need human interaction, and practice in how to do things correctly, math, reading, writing, etc. So, so glad my great grandmother taught me to read when 3, had the highest reading scores in all my years in school, sight reading not phonetically, but still can read better than most of my piers.

Oh, the irony.

No, but I will take Salsa music anytime of day or night. 😂

We have experienced some of these problems at Membership Parks, i.e., Thousand Trails and the like. We have not experienced it in State parks, when we camp during the school being in session period. And if we have the choice, we opt for 55 and older parks even if it costs more. Don't hate kids, hate bad parenting, which is getting worse today.

Speaking of dogs.
There are very few bad dogs but large number of bad owners.

The Day the RV Park Turned Into a Three-Ring Circus

Today was one for the record books. A guest pulled in, ready to line up for his site, except he started his turn a little early. The back end of his trailer made friends with the side of his neighbor’s truck. In no time, the truck bumper was wedged so far under the trailer it was obvious the weren’t coming apart easily.

Separating a couple tons of metal is never easy, but our crew (and half the park) jumped in to help. About thirty minutes into this wrestling match, the poor driver suddenly dropped like a bad cell signal. The shock of the accident must’ve kicked his heart into panic mode.

Cue the cavalry and within minutes, the quiet mountain air was filled with sirens. We had enough flashing lights to land a plane. EMTs, fire trucks, sheriff, you name it. They took him to the local hospital, but an hour later decided he needed better care and sent him on to Asheville. His wife’s relatives came to fetch her and head that way too.

Meanwhile, a tow truck arrived, pried the truck and trailer apart, and I backed the rig into its site.

Just another day at the RV park, where peace and quiet sometimes take a detour, and we earn our campground halos one crisis at a time.
