I do have a solar controller yes.

Inside my camper I have the sensor that shows levels including water/battery. The light is 1/4 and my inverted also screams at me if the voltage drops.
You mention 15 and 30 amp….are you connected to a 15 amp outlet via a 15/30 dogbone adapter? Then You should not be seeing any power issues. If you are short power, the breaker on the outlet should pop. I am a bit confused on your setup…

We have never done this before so we are kinda starting off slowly. Trying to figure out what we need as we go. I’d be happy just being able to run the damn hot water heater. Lol

Hi Rich, if I am reading this right, he is running his 30 amp main power cord into a 1500w 120volt inverter outlet running off of his 2 batteries/solar setup via the adapter. I confess have not looked up his model to see what its specs are.

I’m sorry for the confusion. Does this make any sense?

Ahh…ok. If true, that is not going to work….especially with only 2 12v batteries.…and only 300 watts of solar.

Sambo- you will not be able to camp this way…. please let us know what your set up is in more detail so we can help. But it seems you will need a generator or be plugged into shore power to run what you want.

The answer to your apparent 2mill question is you have a loop! Yes your converter needs to be taken out of the circuit (unplugged)

In a previous post OP indicates he has no converter in the trailer, but I would think anything with a 30 amp cord would have a inverter/charger onboard somewhere to provide service to the coach And charge the batteries supplying the 12volt circuits. Perhaps he can find a mobile tech that could come out and give him a hand identifying his components.

Here in lies the problem. If he actually has an inverter charger it would have a transfer switch built in as part of the unit. He would not need to plug in the house to power the house systems, because it would be hardwired in.
This leads me to believe that an inverter/charger is not present.
