We are newbies in Mebane NC. We are in the process of downsizing into our 5th wheel for full time living. We are also in the process of buying a truck and haven't even towed an RV before. Where would I begin to look for someone that could pull our 5th wheel as needed and teach us the basics of hauling a big 5th wheel? All suggestions are appreciated.

Looks like the closest one is in New Bern, NC...I would also ask the dealer from which you purchased for a recommendation.

Excellent suggestions by @Akdare! You might also check with the staff at a nearby RV park (preferably one that caters primarily to RVers rather than permanent residents) for recommendations. Before selecting a freelance instructor, be sure to ask for references. And, if you don't feel comfortable with a given instructor, find another one with whom you are.
