My experience with water pumps (Shurflo 4008 series), is that they only last 3 - 5 years. I am curious as some of you don’t use city water.,and use the pump and fresh water. What has been your experience? How long do yours last, on average - especially those that us it a lot?

It would be interesting to compare those that use it a lot vs. those that only use it occasionally.

This is my second coach and fourth water pump.

Ours is now almost 14 years old. We did two years full time when we first got it and now into our seventh since we retired. We are on our second pump now and I carry a spare just in case. We do a lot of boon docking.......that means we are careful with our water usage. :)

I've not had one fail but I've upgraded pumps just to have better pumps over the last 7 years.

Pump only here!

When I started using a residential well pressure switch, rather than the cheap garbage switch on the RV Pumps, and a back flow valve. I quit having to replace the Pumps. Been using my 12v pump on 24v for about 6 months, so don't think they will ever burn up!
