Resolved Victron bmv712 not showing incoming power when battery is on a charger

Installed a victron bmv712. Out going current is showing up with ah used and current going out but when I put the battery on a charger it doesn’t change. No incoming current or change in battery capacity. Can’t seem to get an answer from anywhere. Thanks

I suggest reviewing how your wiring is done to the shunt, etc.

You may want to attach pictures of your wiring of the shunt, batteries etc

Do you have ALL the negative cables on the shunt? And do you have the shunt hooked up to the ground? Maybe post a picture of the wiring?

I think I figured it out. I put the + cable from the charger on the + post of the battery and put the - cable from the charger on the - post of the battery so it wasn’t going through the shunt. I don’t know if I could connect the - cable from the battery charger to the load side of the shunt and + cable from charger to the + post of the battery.
