MOD Water pump upgrade with accumulator tank

Back tinkering at the coach, the pump is quiet, must have been just a priming issue when new and getting water into the system. Loving the accumulator tank and highly recommend it barring what REMCO says for variable pressure pumps concerned of over pressurizing your lines. That's not how it's been working, it charges the tank and shuts off. Works great! Very pleased with the 5 gpm REMCO ARV pump and REMCO accumulator tank. Any accumulator should work, it's a basic system.

Hello! Me again, yeah, the accumulator mod, yep, that's it...

So yesterday I arrived after far too long in storage and added bleach to the fresh tank to kill off predators coming through the water lines On arrival I left city water off, pump on and let water flow to the gray and then dumped, from inside of course Still strong taste and smell so filled the tank and did it again. Pump quit, oh no, although I have a spare (old Remco pump) but figured it was a thermal shutdown, it was. The pump pressure seemed odd so first thing was to remove the inlet filter. It always seems to be a source of problems and air leaks and I'm not sure why we need it when I have a carbon and sediment house filter prior to the pump. So off it went.

Still not happy with pressure, this is a 5 gpm REMCO-55AQUAJET ARV pump. It seems the accumulator is confusing the pump and as stated in the dialog from this or another thread, REMCO does not approve of an accumulator with this pump. So I bypass it. All is great again. However, I am now convinced, or strongly believing, this REMCO pump has an accumulator built in. When I power on the pump, I hear it for a few seconds as if it's charging the pressure. When I run water, it's as if the accumulator is inline, it's instant pressure. Hmmm, so this is interesting for sure but maybe now this all makes sense as to why REMCO says no to the accumulator tank option.
