The Woods“, (site # 8) will be seeing some changes!
  • In November we will pour a new 15′ x 60′ cement parking pad. In addition to providing a perfectly level parking area, a cement walkway will extend the length of your RV to the picnic area, limiting the chances of collecting leaves and other debris on your shoes and tracking it into your RV.
  • The upper picnic area will receive a geocell walkway that connects the gazebo to the fire ring and over to the picnic table. A nice improvement for when mother nature blesses us with an occasional rain storm.
The "Pines Pavilion"
  • We are getting started on the Pines Pavilion! Nestled in between three large Pine trees, the Pines Pavilion will be equipped with a wood fired pizza oven, pellet smoker and food preparation area. There will be seating both inside and outside of the pavilion, as well as a big screen TV to catch your favorite college or professional football game. Good times ahead!

You can follow these improvements, as well as other changes at our park, from the Deer Springs RV Park website.

Looks great Jim. Trish went all out with the fall decorations.

Good thing you only started with 8 sites because I don’t think you will ever be “not” making some improvements.

Well this summer I couldn’t get across the border I hope I can next year. NC here we come!

lol, this is only one week into a five week endeavor. If you can, get some stock in Dollar Tree, Walmart, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby. Sales are about to soar!

Looks awesome, looks like a special place.

Update on the pavilion. Picture one is looking at the pavilion from a distance, picture two is looking out across the park from inside the pavilion.

I really, really want to come but I would need to take time off of work due to the internet situation there. If it improves, I think I will definitely book, otherwise my stay has to wait for mobile Starlink

I want to visit!! I have a jeep, but no coach yet. I hope to get mine before @FLSteve , but who knows. Looks great Jim!
Thank you, RedBaron!

I think you will have a new coach by the time we get things rolling next year, so hopefully we will meet you then? This year has been a whirlwind affair as we went from building a park to running a park. Give us another 6 - 8 months and everything will start to come together.

We will have a new cement pad at site 8 when you visit, and I'll make sure that you and your new coach, are parked squarely on it! We will have a pavilion by then as well, and hopefully some live music on the weekends. Also, we have been working on the area by the creek and it should be ready by then as well.

So yeah, next year should be a good time to visit!

Yes, I understand.

There's a lot on the slate for next year, and not a lot of time to get there. We are still working on the park area down by the creek, although not a lot has been done lately. Mostly because we don't want to disturb the guests with a lot of construction equipment. So November and December will probably be pretty busy months.

We plan to add another pull through RV site and at least one cabin. The RV site will be easy enough, but lack of materials and a diminished labor pool will probably make the cabin a little more difficult. But we've spent the last few days cutting trees and getting ready to clear the area where they will be put. The cabin will be nestled in the trees with a large deck around it. And as with everything else, we will build it with a focus on preserving the natural lay of the land and exploit the available views.

Picture one is where the cabin will be built, and and the following pics are of the view that you will see from the deck.
