This area just received a substantial amount of new snow last week. The higher peaks around 12,000-14,000 feet will usually remain capped with snow throughout the Summer.

It can, and does, snow at the higher elevations throughout the year. In the 50 years that I lived in the Rockies I've seen it snow all 12 months of the year.
I grew up near Banff Alberta so I know about the twelve months of snow. ;)

Canyonlands, Utah

After an enjoyable week in Rifle, Colorado, visiting with 2 of my children that live in the Aspen Valley, I rolled over to Canyonlands, Utah. It was a fairly short drive, although it was quite blustery with some rain showers. It has been a very windy Spring here in the West and wet with snow in some areas and rain. Not untypical for Springtime in the Rockies. It's unseasonable cool and windy here in Utah although the weather will be improving starting tomorrow... (y)

Is that a private campground or state park?

This is a Sun Outdoors RV Park.

It just seem so strange to see an RV park out in the middle of nowhere like that! If you don't mind, how many sites do they have and what does it cost to stay there?

I believe there are 93 sites and around 25 are pull through sites. The price varies as Sun Properties are typically having pricing specials frequently. Best to check their website or call. I get a 20% discount because I'm an annual at one of their properties where I Winter in Arizona.

Camp Hatteras in Rodanthe, NC. By my count, this is our 18th stay here.

Yessir. Last fall after visiting @Deer Springs RV Park. I’m happy with the results.
Sweet! Would love to hear about the experience if you care to share in another thread in case others may want to pursue it. I'd be interested as my Ventana is ForEverTana.

Moab, Utah

This morning I drove down the road 12 miles to a sister property of where I was in Canyonlands to a park on the outskirts of downtown Moab. This park is small and the sites are tight but it will be fine until Wednesday when I will head over to the Western Slope to Ridgway, Colorado. Moab is crazy busy currently as it's a holiday weekend. I am happy I was able to visit Arches and do all of the off road drives in the surrounding areas before the mass of humanity arrived... (y) The only thing on my agenda is to wash my dirty Jeep... :ROFLMAO:

The coloring on your black Jeep looks very familiar. We spent three weeks in Moab. Our Wrangler is black but it's a two door. The longest trail we did was the Shafer. 19 miles but not difficult just extremely scenic. I still have red dust in hard to clean areas.
