That is very good to know. The vancouver one is the ferry I was most interested in doing. If that goes well, I have considered the Alaska inner passage ferry too.
A quick further ferry note:
We also rode the ferry from Prince Edward Island to Nova Scotia with our 36’ Alpine Coach while towing our Jeep. Very simple easy trip. BTW, some of the ferries require a reservation if you are over certain parameters, length, width, height, etc. Best to check their website ahead of time.

I had done a lot of research on this back in 2015. We took a cruise to Alaska in 2017, where I witnessed some very small ferry's loading a class A. The water level was very low, and the angles looked terrible to me. Somehow they managed to load the RV without incident, but it didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy.

Looking back at this, the class A was a 30-34ft, and the Ferry was not large enough for much bigger. The max height was 12.5" on this ferry. So I guess my worries about getting a 45Ft on that boat are well founded, but not relevant as there are Ferrys much larger that I would schedule.

I did notice that it seemed to be cheaper to unhook the toad, and book it separate vs trying to keep it attached. They really hit you on the length once you exceed 16ft.

Another thing I found interesting, It appears from reading that the longer cruises will not allow you to be in your RV during the voyage, so you would still have to book a berth or sit in the observation decks.

We have paid the extra to stay hooked up, as there are not always good spots to hook up when you get off. Judy D

A good thread is to educate others on how to use Ferry's with RV's. On that note, back on track here, but educate others on that topic if you care to share.

Final day at Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, TX. This was a really great week here. Seriously enjoyed it.

We were lodged in what I affectionately referred to as Boystown.

Creekfire RV Resort - Savannah, GA
Cellular: VZW & AT&T good
OTA: good
SAT: not used, no obstacles
Lake front sites not worth it and far from level. Tight and noisy.

Lot's to do in Savannah and plan to gain 200 lbs. Lot's of interesting history I never knew of and still a lot I don't know of. Quick trip for lay of the land and warmer weather.

Coach detailed so pictures are allowed again.

Cable but not used

Overnight stop but happy for the very long pull through so I don't have to disconnect.

Buena Vista Motorcoach Resort, Orange Beach Alabama. Beautiful spot with large spots, many with great amenities. A bonus is alligators lurking in the water out front. On a side note, this resort honored a payment/reservation made TWO years ago. Even though their rates have gone up substantially they accepted our original payment. Nice to see honorable business do the right thing. We had asked for the reservation to be put ahead a year because of Covid.

Naples Motorcoach Resort, about 10 miles south of Naples Florida. Decent park wifi, 3 bars Verizon. What is really amazing is that during our walk around the park this afternoon we counted in excess of 40 Newmar coaches, from King Aires to a Ventana. An astonishing number of Dutch Stars, mostly 1-2 years old or newer! At least in this park, Newmar is king of the road!

Nice! Are you using jacks to level or just the air suspension?

Can’t remember the last time I used the jacks. Absolutely love the HWH active air leveling system. Push air leveling, system dumps the bags and then fills the bags required to level the coach….perfect!

Have Judy text @ARD and be prepared to engorge. I was just the chauffeur for Ms. Daisy. Some really good eatun there! I think the Olde Pink House was one of the favs. And I suggest the segue tour and @ARD can give the list of things to do. I got out of my child leash by the last day. Don't get your coach detailed there.

We all could do better using this forum:

Compass Rv, Sun Resorts, St Augustine Florida. Many years since we have been here. The addition of 50+ sites in the back really made a difference. Many large, spacious paver sites in a quiet setting. Worth a stop except, good grief, St Augustine is crawling with people!!
