Let me see if I can contribute to this worthy thread.

At Marval RV Resort located near Gore in SE OK. Nothing stunning about it but our goal as to spend time with our three Tulsa grandsons which made this place perfect. Two pools, putt-putt course, jumping pillow, arcade game area, playgrounds, splash pad, basketball court and fishing pond along with the Illinois River adjacent kept them plenty busy.

The park itself is older and a bit run down in areas with more than a few sites with RVs set up “permanently” that look tired and worn. There are nicer areas with okay bathhouses. The people were very nice and helpful.

WiFi when it was working was more than adequate, it allowed the boys to watch a movie to settle them down at their bedtime. We have ATT and had spotty reception with mostly one or two bars.

I’m sure we’ll return and I know the boys loved it!

Edit to add I clearly don't have this posting photos thing figured out.

Custer's Gulch RV Park
Custer, SD

Arrived yesterday so not much to report on yet. Gorgeous countryside here, I've done Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse in the past. Lot's to do in this neck of the woods for the outdoor enthusiasts.

Cellular: Verizon stronger over AT&T but both usable
Starlink is fine here as well as SAT other than maybe the top most sites which are forested.
OTA: 6 channels, 2-3 of which are music - don't waste your time
Cable: N/A

My site is very level, air leveling needed no correction, dumped air and called it done. Sites are spacious enough, not as tight as many parks which is nice.

Certainly doesn’t look very crowded. Is that also true for the visitors in the surrounding areas?

That occurred to me this morning, this CG is about 30% booked right now. Blackhills KOA was about 60-70% booked. Don't know what you mean by visitors...

Same "Smoky Mountain Campground we weekended at last year. Cable inop. No wifi. Place is basically a gravel parking lot where you leave your camper while tubing in the creek or hiking in the national park. And as such it suits us just fine. Sites are on the short side, with no toad my 38 feet squeezed in again, just. A couple of spaces are deep enough for 40 feet.
When little man was aske dhow cold the water was.

Was just wondering if the tourist areas in the area were also not crowded.

I don't know, not going to be around them. Already been to the places here. I'm just in holding for my Colorado entry which is the objective of my trip, exploring CO.

Hard to beat most of western Colorado & the Rockies

Hi Neal: We are about a week a head of you. I think we stayed in Hermosa when we were in Custer. But there were a million bikers around because of Sturgis.

We are in Cody Wyoming now ALL tourist traps are jammed because of Sturgis bike week. But as the rally continues to August 14th the crowds are thinning.

Well, still at Follow the River till Saturday then on to Anchor Down in TN, but I thought I'd post a pic or two. Tooling around in Madison, the DW found the Miss Madison Unlimited Hydro behind a warehouse, so we drove back there for a peek. (also found a nice little Brewery) Amazing what you find!

I just returned from dry camping out at the Bonneville Salt Flats for Speed Week. We took out 6 motorcycles this year to run on the flats but unfortunately Speed Week was cancelled due to heavy rains. Oh well, there is always next year... (y)

Anchor Down in Dandridge TN for 2 nights. Will NEVER come here on a weekend again. Literally every space filled with trailers complete with bright blue LEDs on all night, all had a golf carts with children driving at fairly high speed all day and into the night. Actually made it dangerous to walk the dog. Too bad as it's a beautiful setting on Douglas Lake.

Onward to Tripple Creek near Newport TN for 7 nights. Nice quiet rural CG with creeks running through. Very nice owners on site. Good Verizon signal, no cable and limited OTA, full hookups, and spacious shaded sites. Nice just putting a chair in the Creek and sit with your feet in the water.

I like the 7 nights thing. Good way to do it. Thats enough time to rest, relax, see some sights, fix some stuff, and plan the next leg of the journey. I put a chair in the N. Platt river, north of Sinclair Wy. Nice way to relax.

Spending two weeks in Manistee, Michigan at The Bluffs on Manistee Lake. LOTS to see and do around here, with Ludington to the south, Traverse City to the north, and pickleball courts at The Bluffs and nearby in Manistee. Strong AT&T and Verizon, virtually no T-Mobile or OTA. And...nearly perfect weather in the 70s. They grow Christmas trees here, too. We'll be back!

Jasper National Park, Whistlers Campground

Parks Canada campground, some with full hookups, 50a service. Although this guy made it a little difficult to get setup 😳

Just arrived at one of our favorite parks, Two Rivers in Sevierville for a 10 night stay to enjoy the Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion starting this week. Nice concrete sites facing the French Broad River, good Verizon signal, cable, and VIEWS!

River Run RV Park
Granby, CO

AT&T beats Verizon
Starlink - no issues, no obstructions
Cable TV - 55 channels (all analog I believe)
SAT - not used but should be no issues

Sun Outdoors parks - very nice setup here, could definitely spend weeks here and relax. Very quiet and peaceful now that school is going back in session, I hear after meeting @Tip&Tina that it was a bit noisy prior to my arrival. You can see @Tip&Tina's beautiful DSDP parked in front of me. Nice to meet them last night after arrival.
