Fountain Of Youth Spa and RV Park, near Niland Ca just above the east shore of the Salton Sea enjoying a rare rainy day in the desert. I had planned a 20 mile bike ride today but I’m going to wait until the rain lets up a bit.

Good wifi, good cable, too many trees for satellite

We tried out Canyon Creek resort near Winters CA this weekend. It is just 30 minutes form the house and right along side Putah Creek. Very clean park run by some nice folks. It is a members only park with a reasonable buy in and great terms. They have two campgrounds one here in Winters and the other out in the Delta. Members have privileges at both parks. It was a rainy weekend but the coach and systems kept us dry and comfy. I will be looking into getting Star Link though as there is no cell coverage so streaming is not possible. How we got to a place where we can not be with out technology is baffling to me. Years ago sitting by the fire with a book was just fine!
Oh the weened started out as a bummer though. I changed my routine to get the coach out of the barn and ended up burying my couch in mud! took 4 hours and a very large pile of cribbage to extricate her. No harm done to the coach. Thank god for the Hydraulic jacks. We were able to lift the coach completely free of the mud and place wood and asphalt shingles under the tires to let her drive out with out calling a wrecker. Won't make that mistake again! I would post pics but the WIFI is won't support transferring photos.

Napa Valley Expo RV. Small park within walking distance of downtown Napa. The Napa Wine area has very few rv spots so this is a good spot to stay if you want to explore this famous wine producing area.

Stayed there several times - nice to be able to walk to restaurants etc. Another great spot but a little farther away is the Skyline Wilderness Park.

Been meaning to check that place out for an over nighter in Napa. How do you like it?

We are staying at Canyon Creek again this weekend but this time no rain!
We are liking this little camp ground as it is 1/2 hour from home but feels worlds away.

Clean park with nice spacing between coaches. A little traffic noise from the Silverado Trail but not bad. All-in-all a decent place to spend a few days.

On the porch of our “casita” at FOY (FOY – Fountain of Youth Spa and RV Park) enjoying the edge of the desert. This space is on the NW corner of the park so bordered on two sides by desert, far enough away from all the activity to enjoy peace and quiet, but still part of the community with all the activities, amenities, and facilities.

We weren't in the market when we came here in December but this place came up for sale one day and we liked the location so much we owned it the next morning. We’ve spent the last month correcting 40 years of substandard repairs, addressing neglect, bringing the “yard” back to life, and updating the interior (king sleep number arrived yesterday - NICE!).

For all its dated funkiness this 1981 14x40 “Hillcrest” has plenty of charm and nostalgia and will continue to be updated and improved. And the winter weather here, along with the view of the Salton Sea, is simply sublime. Next month new windows and doors. After that new kitchen cabinets, HVAC, floors etc. I guess I needed another project….

Congrats! Beautiful view!

Looks like the puppy is enjoying a sweet spot! Have fun in your new home away from home.

Trish is soaking up the Florida sunshine on the patio of our new place at The Preserves Estates.

Tune up weekend trip to get systems checked out and exercised. Silver Palms RV Resort in Okeechobee. Excellent T Mobile and Verizon signal. Most lots are owned and occupied, but not the friendliest park we've been to. At least everything on the coach is working fine.

Flat Creek Family Campground in Chattahoochee, FL.

Nice family campground with very nice camp hosts. Swimming pool, but it's still winter so no one in it. Group fire pit, cool campground store, showers, etc. No internet or cell service but they have lots of videos you can use for entertainment.

Lots of pull through room for up to 70' rigs, probably even more. We didn't have to unhook, and that's a good thing. :)

Another interesting note. I got all the way here and no engine light! It must have burned out . . . ;)

Stopover at Tom Sawyer RV Park, West Memphis AR. On our way to Nappanee for our 3/11 appointment.
And, like Jim, made it this far without a Check Engine light!
