KOA Journey Petrified Forest Holbrook, Arizona
I left the Balloon Fiesta yesterday after another "epic" time with the NKK group and rolled over to Holbrook, AZ for a touch and go. Today I am heading to Distant Drums RV Resort in Camp Verde, Arizona. I will be staying there for 5 days before heading to my Winter home in Casa Grande, AZ.

Distant Drums RV Resort Camp Verde, Arizona
I had an enjoyable short drive down to Camp Verde, AZ from Holbrook, AZ today to Distant Drums RV Resort. Some Newmar friends recommended this RV Park and my first impression is very positive. They pick up your trash bag in the morning which is a very nice amenity as most, if not all, do not... :(

I have been through this area numerous times but have never stayed in Camp Verde. I will be exploring the area during my 5 days here... (y) When I leave here next week I will be going to my Winter home in Casa Grande, AZ.

Made it to the MotorCoach Resort on Lake Erie Shores. We've been on the road about 3 weeks now, our ultimate destination was my daughter's wedding in St Paul (10/3) which was awesome. We were here last year and liked it so much we came back for 4 days.

The hot tub was just what we needed after a day of eBike riding, they loan them out free!

This is why I started this thread (over there) and then here. Seeing the reasons we take to the open roads and what we get to experience is so important for all to take in. Thank you all for sharing your RV travels, journey's, and experiences. Please continue to share.

Camping in Tennessee's oldest state park. Harrison Bay State Park on Chickamauga Lake on the Tennessee river.

Village Camp Rv, Moab Utah. Maybe they should call it Mob Utah as this town is crazy busy with off roaders everywhere. Campground is full to the brim.

Yep, Moab is overrun with the ATV side by side crew. 🤬

It was, and still, is called Jeep Town USA. Lots of UTV and OHVs too but they are not allowed on all trails and need a $30.00 permit.

Checked in to Riverview Campground in Lake George today for 3 days, spent last night at the Del Lago Casino in Waterloo NY last night.

View out the bedroom.

Just a handful of campers.

At the new AbdRahim Service Center. We only service Newmar’s, specializing in the Bay Star. Actually we only service one BayStar. And no Neal we don’t make money. Actually,I think we lose money.

This guy brings in a coach the Saturday before last and wants it washed and detailed. I think his name was AbdRahim, or something like that. Real picky guy. It is never shiny enough, never cool enough, has too many scratches. Oiyyy! Anyway, I have been applying my specially developed techniques and have worked on it three to five hours a day since then. It is about 3/4 of the way done. It will be ready for the rally and move to the winter spot.

This side is mostly done. Likely won’t stand up like the professional ceramic, but this is not bad for not having done this process for three years. It gets professionally washed in the spring, but he only uses spray wax. See you at the rally.

It looks purdy! Job well done. Nice garage too!

Santa Fe Skies Rv, Santa Fe NM. We normally stay at Trailer Ranch in town but sadly it is no longer. Santa Fe is one of our favorite stops in the country. Love the food and you can sure tell it’s chili country by seeing them hanging just about everywhere.

Palm Creek RV Resort Casa Grande, Arizona

Yesterday I left Camp Verde, AZ and had a short drive to my Winter home at Palm Creek RV Resort in Casa Grand, AZ. I had the feeling of arriving home but I was a bit sad that I won't be driving my coach around the beautiful Rocky Mountains until Spring... 😥 I will however be traveling in my Jeep driving out to California to visit friends and family. I will also drive down to Baja and Mainland Mexico from time to time where I have friends. Of course a couple of flights up to Denver over the next 6 months to see family and friends and tend to medical check ups. Living a nomadic lifestyle I get "itchy feet" and need to leave Casa Grande once a month... 😁

First thing this morning I had my coach washed and waxed and finished getting my site organized for my Winter stay. I've made a number of friends over the past 3 years and it will be nice to hang out and catch up with them after they roll in later this month and next.
