I did after they called me a 5AM to ask how often I would use their card. Waking me from a dead sleep did not go over too well with me.Planning on removing this card from our usable list.![]()
A valid DL works as well. Also saw that Greenlane was changing their policy that they only give cards to those with a CDL.

We do not require a CDL, just a driver's license. This is part of our verification process. Also saw that Greenlane was changing their policy that they only give cards to those with a CDL.

Yikes! I'll follow up with the team on this to make sure they are more aware of time zones.I did after they called me a 5AM to ask how often I would use their card. Waking me from a dead sleep did not go over too well with me.
Oregon fuel taxes are quite complicated. The state tax (currently 0.40¢/gal) is paid at the pump if the weight of the vehicle is 26,000 or less. For the larger vehicles, the tax is not paid at the pump, it is paid by mile based on the weight and is filed separately.I got an email from Greenlane that basically said the following:
We’re making an important policy change for all Greenlane members fueling in Oregon. The Oregon Public State Commission requires all truckers fueling in Oregon to enter their state permit (PUC) number at the pump before fueling. This ensures that proper taxes are collected by the state at the time of the purchase.
Starting today, Greenlane is requiring all members fueling in Oregon to enter this number at the pump. This ensures the correct tax is applied every time you fuel. If not entered, you will be charged $0.40/gal plus a $15 admin fee to cover Greenlane’s costs. If this happens, you’ll be charged separately on the default payment method linked in your account..
I have researched this, and it appears I can get a fuel-use permit for a recreational vehicle. Here is what the website says for recreational vehicles.
This includes the use of unregistered Campers; Travel trailers; or Motor homes. However, the length of the RV cannot be over 45 feet long. Additionally, you must show proof of vehicle ownership if you are not listed as the owner on Oregon DMV records. Permits can only be obtained for up to 10 days for the same RV in a 12-month period. However, multiple permits for less than 10 days are doable, but the total days for a 12-month period cannot be more than 10. If you would like to apply for this trip permit, please contact one of our representatives.
I think, in this case, I will use an open roads fuel card in Oregon to avoid the surcharge and fee.
I use Mudflap as well and most locations I have been to now have you enter the code at the pump which really makes it quick. I have other gas apps as well but i Prefer Mudflap in most cases.Mudflap is the same with a different process. Have to go in the app, get the code on the screen, go inside and show to the cashier for them to turn the pump on.
Tied to a CC as well. An option when there are no other discounts in the area.
For Open Roads we opened a separate bank account that isn’t tied to the others for overdraft etc. just transfer money in when needed.

We're sorry to hear this happened to you and we've made sure that any calls made to members are no earlier than 8am.I did after they called me a 5AM to ask how often I would use their card. Waking me from a dead sleep did not go over too well with me.
Hi, after I posted that comment, saw that you had clarified either on this thread or another that Greenlane was still working with RV’rs. Happy to see!Hi there, not sure where you saw this but it's not true. We serve truckers and RVers alike. If you'd like to talk to someone on our team please contact member support.![]()
I agree it takes a lot of time and I am also glad to see it trending towards enter at the pump. I will have to look at Greenlane now.Good to know it is getting easier. One big reason I use Mudflap as a last resort is not wanting to go inside multiple times.
With Greenlane, you can fuel without going inside—unless there’s a pump issue. Pay with your Greenlane Card at most stops, or go cardless by entering unique codes at the pump. Half our network supports cardless fueling to simplify the experience and keep you moving.I agree it takes a lot of time and I am also glad to see it trending towards enter at the pump.
