Hey everyone! My name is Dimitar (D for short) - I work on the Greenlane team.
It's great to see you are all using the app. A few things I wanted to clarify:
In the app the state tax is not included in the Love's and TA/Petro locations. Feel free to fuel at those locations, but you'll see a separate charge for 0.40¢/gal if you don't have the state permit (we'll waive the admin fee for you). You'll still get a good discount on those locations, even with the 0.40¢/gal added.
Let me know if you have any questions and how else we can help you. You can also email us directly at [email protected].

We do not require a CDL, just a driver's license. This is part of our verification process. Also saw that Greenlane was changing their policy that they only give cards to those with a CDL.
Planning on removing this card from our usable list.![]()
Yikes! I'll follow up with the team on this to make sure they are more aware of time zones.I did after they called me a 5AM to ask how often I would use their card. Waking me from a dead sleep did not go over too well with me.
Oregon fuel taxes are quite complicated. The state tax (currently 0.40¢/gal) is paid at the pump if the weight of the vehicle is 26,000 or less. For the larger vehicles, the tax is not paid at the pump, it is paid by mile based on the weight and is filed separately.I got an email from Greenlane that basically said the following:
We’re making an important policy change for all Greenlane members fueling in Oregon. The Oregon Public State Commission requires all truckers fueling in Oregon to enter their state permit (PUC) number at the pump before fueling. This ensures that proper taxes are collected by the state at the time of the purchase.
Starting today, Greenlane is requiring all members fueling in Oregon to enter this number at the pump. This ensures the correct tax is applied every time you fuel. If not entered, you will be charged $0.40/gal plus a $15 admin fee to cover Greenlane’s costs. If this happens, you’ll be charged separately on the default payment method linked in your account..
I have researched this, and it appears I can get a fuel-use permit for a recreational vehicle. Here is what the website says for recreational vehicles.
This includes the use of unregistered Campers; Travel trailers; or Motor homes. However, the length of the RV cannot be over 45 feet long. Additionally, you must show proof of vehicle ownership if you are not listed as the owner on Oregon DMV records. Permits can only be obtained for up to 10 days for the same RV in a 12-month period. However, multiple permits for less than 10 days are doable, but the total days for a 12-month period cannot be more than 10. If you would like to apply for this trip permit, please contact one of our representatives.
I think, in this case, I will use an open roads fuel card in Oregon to avoid the surcharge and fee.
