Last summer we learned that the Nevada DMV requires documentation of all name changes. Simple, you may think.
They required certified copies of all marriage and divorce certificates from three states even though our current names are actually what we started with.
We got it done on the second hundred-mile each-way trip up to the DMV in Ely.
Back to Florida...
In around 1980 I bought a very small inflatable boat, a Zodiac. I got tired of spinning it in circles with one paddle so I bought a 1.5 hp motor for it.
Th ever-helpful mullet sheriff David let me off with a warning and told me to get it registered, so I was off to the DMV in Tallahassee.
All was going well until they demanded a builder's certificate. A _builder's certificate_. They could not be made to understand that we were talking about a six-foot rubber blowup boat.
At some point I went out, got the Zodiac out of the car, and proceeded to blow it up in the DMV lobby.
Got my tag.
