Federal Premium website will have it occasionally available direct from the factory. You wind up paying MSRP, but at least it is still “reasonable” compared to gunbroker prices.

Kind of freaky to see the ammo supply situation. Sad state of affairs we're in when we feel we have to prepare to defend ourselves on our own soil FROM our own citizens. And yes, I need more 9mm myself. I went to load the extra clips I got for my recent Kimber purchase and realized I don't have any. I have one box at home though which I'll get when I return next week.

Strange things usually happen once you’ve taken some sort of action. This morning, I sort of gave up on finding ammo and posted this plea on our forum.
I had been participating on ammoseek.com. For those not knowing, this is a search site that monitors dozens, maybe hundreds of online sellers. They offer saved searches and also notifications when a search meets your criterion. In my case, I wanted notifications when any ammo hit the market at less than $0.35 per round. I got dozens upon dozens of notifications only to go to the site and find them sold out. Sometimes within seconds.
That brings me to this mornings post and plea. Then this afternoon another notification. OK I’ll check. I did, I went to the sellers site and got right to the add to cart button. So, I increased the amount equating to 500 rounds, thinking “why not”? It accepted that quantity and kept going. I got all the way past setting an account, fully expecting to be bumped out any moment. I got all the way to a credit card and all was still accepted. The order is still “pending” and there is nothing against my card yet, but I’m hopeful.
So, time will tell what I get and when. The seller says to wait 48 hours before inquiring, so here I am waiting. A bit skeptical, but hopeful too. Tick, tock...Stay tuned.

There is a gun show up the road on Saturday/Sunday with an almost unlimited amount of ammo for sale. But then again, I'm in NC, and having a still in your backyard and a closet full of rifles is the norm. ;)

I've got about 6000 rounds of 9mm. Sounds like a lot but all my hand guns (except the revolvers) are 9mm. I even have a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 rifle that shoots 9mm. I have a 50 round drum for that one so it shoots them FAST!!!

$0.35 per round.
Sounds like it may be Russian steel cased or aluminum rounds? When it sounds too good to be true....

hope it works out for you.

One thing I never worry about is the cost of personal defense ammunition. If I need ammo, I buy the best, most reliable stuff I can find at whatever the going price is. My thought is that I never want to have to use it, but if I do, I want the best stuff available working for me!

Yesterday I was at the local sporting goods store and the only handgun ammo they had was 10mm at just $20 for a 50 round box. Naturally that is the one caliber handgun I don't own.

Yup...too good to be true. Order cancelled: "There has been a sudden and substantial increase in order volume across the sporting goods industry. Our network of distributors have not been able to update their available inventory quick enough, which has resulted the item(s) on your order to be currently out of stock.".
