Newsome's gardeners will be exempt of course, as will the machinery used at his winery. My (newly acquired) DeWalt (20V) blower will clean my patio and deck of debris...then it's back on the charger. Oh yeah, we're not supposed to charge between the hours of 4:00 and 9:00pm as there's not enough electricity to go around. As most of you know, our governor is a nut case. My riding Deere, Sthil chainsaw, and Honda weed eater will survive this lunacy I pray... We close our nuclear power plant and increase the need for electricity. Yup...California continues to live up to it's reputation ? As you already know (I've said it here) our premium gas now exceeds $5.00 a gallon. Filling up our 75 gallon tank gets pricey. Blessings, Christ will come again my friends...

Get out while you still can!!!

Every lawnmower, weed-eater, chain saw, etc; in the entire state of California would never generate as much pollution of any type, as one plane trip by the California Governor!
Before everyone goes beating up on others again you might want to do a bit of research on just how polluting a lot of this equipment can be.

I don’t much care for a lot of regulation either but this is probably the only planet I will be living on.….I think.

"arb.ca.gov" says all one needs to know. In Santa Barbara County the "air pollution control board" has an interesting history. Once manned by over 40 employees, the department was supplemented by their fee income. My neighbor worked for them and confirmed policy was not always based upon truth. Hmmm, imaging that...misleading information from government. The APCB pushed the oil companies out. Yup, lawn tools do pollute. The fire currently burning (in SB) is doing a really good job of polluting too. My MH and cars pollute. They would like to take ALL those away as well, and will one day try. In the meantime, the Creator of this planet has a plan. Mankind is a part of it. This WILL be the only planet you live on my friend...Blessings ?

Wow--they really are stretching the truth there.

My lawn mower uses less than .25 gallons of gas in 1 hour. A car that drives 300 miles on < 0.25 gallons of gas does not exist--and frankly never will.

Even Electric cars use more fossil fuel to drive 300 miles than my lawn mower does in 1 hour----where do you think electricity comes from? Most of it is fossil fuels.

Unless California has built lots of power plants since 2018, I think the above graph is close enough to accurate. (source: 2018 Total System Electric Generation)

Wow. So, you think this is about fuel efficiency? What emission controls do leaf blowers or lawnmowers have in your area?

Where do emissions come from? Burning of fuel. If you burn .25 gallons it creates less emissions than driving a car 300 miles.

Emissions is the term used to describe the gases and particles which are put into the air or emitted by various sources.

No. It doesn’t work like that. Emission control systems and how they work is a big topic. But there is some good info online.

Cheers.
