We are on our way to the southeast for a trip put off in 2021, and with all reservations made last year. This morning I received a call from Palm Beach Motorcoach in Jupiter, Florida informing me that they are cancelling my reservation made last year, and refunding my fully paid in full stay, because someone wanted our site who was willing to stay longer. She said they had new policies this year. We were not given any warning. They have left us without a place to stay in high season, and could care less. In all of our years rving, we have never experienced such a thing. If you make fully paid reservations there, do not count on it. Meanwhile, we are screwed. Anyone in the area have any recommendations of a place we might be able to find a spot for two nights in March? Many Thanks, J and J

Oh no! What a horrible thing to do. So sorry for you guys.

Reading the reviews shows that this has been going on a while. This is a terrible way to conduct a business operation.

In other words, they've raised their rates since then. A place I like(d) in Palm Desert went from $109 to $191 in about 6 months. No longer on my list.

Another one there is now $232 and its across the street from a Hilton that's $180, and Merriot at $140. Craziness!

A reservation is a contract - anyone who doesn't honor that doesn't deserve our business.

Geez that's terrible. I will definitely cross them off our list for places to stay in Florida. I used to fly into west palm beach all time when I had to go to our corporate office. We were looking a RV resort in Palm Beach to catch up with some friends. This was one of the resorts we were looking at.

I’m sorry to read this. What a horrible way to treat a paying customer. Inexcusable.

Could not agree more! We certainly hope this is not the way parks are going to act in the future. This type of business practice will always come back to bite you. We are going to report this behavior on every rv site we can.

Welcome to 2022😠

Wow, sorry to hear this. I hope you can find a place.

This is disgusting and I hope you will leave a Google review and a review on other CG review platforms. I wonder if there are any protections against this? Imagine driving 2-3,000 miles and not having a place to stay all of the sudden once reserved? Maybe reach out to the county they are in and file a complaint?

Sorry that happened. That’s a bananas way to conduct business, it will eventually come back to bite them.

I don’t think you’ll have luck on such short notice but try Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Reading the reviews of the “Resort” it sounds like they may have done you a favor. Apparently management of the facility has declined considerably with the new owners.
Hopefully you can find alternative camping location.
If you find a few potential alternatives, you can work the phones for cancellations. That does work sometimes. Especially state parks. People change plans all the time.

This is a nice out of the way Rv park on the water

We want to thank everyone for ideas of places to try . We want to give a special shout out to @sheridany who has friends in the area. He contacted them for ideas of places that might have a vacancy. As a result, we were able to secure one of the last two spots that is big rig friendly. What a relief😁 Needless to say, we will never consider Palm Beach Motorcoach Resort in the future. J and J

Is this forum great or what!

I understand you'll be staying in the lower deck of @sheridany's Prevost?

Not sure he would allow a lowlife Newmar DS owner aboard such a machine….

Well that is wonderful news! And yeah, that Sheridany fellow is OK! You know, for a Prevost owner and all. . .

Oh no. Us BayStar owners must be the lower than the dust of the earth.😢 Lovin’it down here.🥳

I have a Prevost parked two doors down from me. Someone asked him if he had any trouble in the high winds. His response was “no, I have a basement model.”😎

Tried to put a review on Campground Reviews but couldn’t because we haven’t actually stayed there. Any suggestions on how to do this?
